It’s how you’re met

Not all conversations feel like this…

Not because of what’s said—but because of how you’re met.

Someone simply stays with you.

Listening.
Noticing.
Thinking alongside you.

Who can simply stay with you...
long enough for your thoughts to land.

And in that space, something shifts.

You’re discovering.

As you speak, your thinking begins to organize itself.

What felt unclear starts to take shape.

What wasn’t accessible on your own begins to come forward.

Not because someone told you what to think—but because they made space for you to hear yourself.

And that kind of space… is rare.

But when you find it, you feel the difference.

You feel it in your body...
in the way your thoughts begin to settle.

You’re not being led.
You’re being met.
And that changes everything.

Pause and consider:

Where have you felt this kind of space before?

Your innercome—that inner reservoir that steadies and restores you—quietly begins to return.

That, too, is a kind of knowing.

Let's keep going!

Things often become clearer once they’re named. What sits quietly in your mind unfinished, undefined, begins to take shape when you put it into words. Sometimes that begins in writing. A thought captured. A feeling acknowledged. Something you hadn’t fully seen… now visible on the page. Even that can shift something. There’s power in speaking something out loud— especially in the presence of someone who can witness it. When those same words are spoken in real time, something begins to move. Because when everything stays inside your head, it can feel unfinished. Hard to sort through. Difficult to trust. But when you begin to name it and then say it, you start to hear yourself differently. Someone who will listen. Who won’t rush to fix or change what you’re saying. Who can simply stay with you long enough… for your thoughts to land. And from there, something opens. A next step. A new angle. A possibility that wasn’t as visible before. Sometimes… clarity begins the moment something is spoken.

Energy doesn’t always return with clarity or certainty. More often, it comes back quietly. Sometimes it starts with a subtle shift... A moment when something that once felt heavy begins to ease. A growing curiosity. A pull toward a conversation, an idea, a way of being that feels more honest. A feeling of relief. It’s as If something inside you is settling back into place. Sometimes energy returns when you stop forcing it to appear. And sometimes the most important shift is the quiet recognition that something inside you is coming back online.

When things feel suspended… You’re waiting for something. An answer. A decision. A shift. A conversation. An outcome you can’t control. It’s not a crisis. But it isn’t settled either. It hangs quietly in the background of your days. You tell yourself: “I’ll move forward once this resolves.” “I’ll relax once I know.” “I’ll commit once the decision is made.” But what if it doesn’t resolve quickly? What if the waiting stretches? Waiting has weight . Perhaps it's not dramatic. Just subtle. You feel a tightening in your chest. A slight holding of breath. A quiet bracing. Limbo isn’t just mental. I t becomes physical . You replay conversations. Rehearse outcomes. Without noticing, you begin living in “after.” After the result. After the meeting. After the answer. When something is hanging over you, one of the gentlest things you can do is move your body . Step outside. Walk around the block... perhaps without a podcast. Stretch your shoulders. Change rooms. Feel your feet on the ground. You cannot rush the outcome. But you can remind yourself that you are not paused inside it. You may not control what’s coming. But you can decide how you inhabit this space .
